Presonus audiobox recording level problem

I use Logic express 8, guitar rig 3 and Presonus audiobox usb audio interface. When I record guitar, I put logic track level and master to -6 and I use guitar pro learn function to prevent clipping. Everything is fine and level is ok but when I press record, the signal goes to red. When I just play and monitor guitar rig, signal is fine but when I press record button. I have everything at 8 o’clock in my interface but it doesn’t help. The same thing happens again. And the weirdest thing is that when put a mic to the same instrument 1 input and record vocal, the signal level is fine. I tried to change my guitar cable since the problem is obviously my input singal. I also tried this with logic’s own guitar amp pro and also without a plug-in. Just raw signal but when recording, the signal jumps to red zone. What can I do? I wouldn’t like to take part in loudness war involuntarily

It’s because the preamps in the Audiobox are just hot. They set it at higher gain so that mics with low input can use less gain on the control. You can fix it with a DI box into the input
